Welcome
Gawler East Preschool is a Department of Education & Children's Services (DECD) site. It is conveniently located adjacent to the Gawler Community Child Care Center and Gawler East Primary School.
The Preschool provides a positive, stimulating and quality educational program, which has clear plans and expectations. Staff are organised and professional and aspire to a culture of inquiry for improvement and best practice. They believe respectful, caring, supportive and strong relationships are essential to learning.
The information on this website will help you get a "picture" of our preschool. Additional information can be obtained by contacting the preschool for a chat or to perhaps arrange a visit.

Session Times
Children are entitled to four half day sessions per week after they turn four years of age, for a maximum of one year. At Gawler East Preschool we operate a Priority of Access Policy when vacancies are limited. In exceptional circumstances children may access early or extended entry to preschool. Please check this with the Director.

Playgroup Information
While we do not offer a Playgroup one of our staff can assist you to find other options for Playgroup in and around the Gawler area. Please contact the preschool for details.
Occasional Care
The preschool does not have a funded Occasional Care program but is co-located with Gawler Community Child Care Center which could offer a similar service.
Gawler East Primary School is also located directly across the road and may provide Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) for children who meet the entry criteria.
